Deranged American dictator threatens Greenlandic people with American health care (Update)

Maybe he thinks he’s come up with a cunning plan to send a military vessel to Greenland. Or it is supposed to be a distraction from all the other distractions that aren’t distracting enough. Maybe he’s just doing what he was elected to do: being a big fucking troll.
Whatever the reason, European leaders and their staff must be sick to death of dealing with this bullshit.
Greenland does not need medical assistance from other countries, Denmark has said, after Donald Trump said he was sending a hospital ship to the autonomous Danish territory that he wants to acquire.
The US president said he would dispatch the vessel in a social media post on Saturday, claiming that Greenlanders were not getting the healthcare they needed.
“Working with the fantastic Governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, we are going to send a great hospital boat to Greenland to take care of the many people who are sick, and not being taken care of there,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
“It’s on the way!!!” he added.
Update: Gov. Landry is also Special Envoy to Greenland. That’s why.
The leaders of Greenland and Denmark took the opportunity to say no to Purplepaws’ attempt to play doctor. For some reason people over there prefer not to live or die at the whim of the Free Market.
“That will be ‘no thanks’ from us,” Jens-Frederik Nielsen, the Greenlandic prime minister, wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.
“President Trump’s idea to send a US hospital ship here to Greenland has been duly noted. But we have a public health system where care is free for citizens,” he said.

In Greenland, as in Denmark, access to healthcare is free at the point of use and funded by the taxpayer. Mette Frederiksen, the Danish prime minister, responded to Trump’s social post by defending her country’s system.
Writing on Facebook, Frederiksen said she was “happy to live in a country where there is free and equal access to health for all. Where it’s not insurances and wealth that determine whether you get proper treatment.”
Is there any reason for the rest of the world to expect anything but the worst from US after putting this sack of immature impulses in the White House twice?
This comment from Denmark’s Minister of Defense suggests the answer is a resounding Nej.
“Trump is constantly tweeting about Greenland. So this is undoubtedly an expression of the new normal that has taken hold in international politics.”
