Popular Culture on Brett and Tobin

The role the average American plays in deciding who sits not the Supreme Court is–even when your party is power–pretty limited. And I know for a fact that Brett Kavanaugh is going to be rammed through and confirmed, ultimately. I will happily prostrate myself before you all and apologize profusely if I’m wrong. Seriously, I’ll be happy about it! But that’s not going to happen. So thank goodness for pop culture, which is acting as something as a release valve for my anger. Everyone who’s not an insane asshole sees this for what it really is–a thoroughly mediocre white guy is going to slog his way to a lifetime appointment to highest court in the land powered by nothing but privilege, spite and hysterical anger and indignation, the kind of unhinged anger only rich white guys can get away with.
