What does Ken Paxton call 2 kids dead from measles?

But apparently there are far too many living and healthy kids for his taste. So he’s blowing some cumulonimbus-sized clouds of doubt about the clinical judgement of pediatricians.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton launched an investigation into whether pediatricians, insurers, and vaccine makers engaged in deceptive behavior by allegedly failing to disclose financial incentives tied to vaccinating children.
Without looking, guess the type of services that pay more:
- Vaccinating a child against childhood diseases.
- Treating a child who has a childhood disease.
I’ll give you a hint: There isn’t even a copayment for the vaccinations.
“I will ensure that Big Pharma and Big Insurance don’t bribe medical providers to pressure parents to jab their kids with vaccines they feel aren’t safe or necessary,” the Republican attorney general said in a press release that alleged an illegal, multi-industry “scheme” that has “forced” Texas kids to get over 70 vaccinations in order to receive medical care.
Speaking of bribes, I bet Paxton would appreciate it if “Big Pharma” and “Big Insurance” put “Donation” on the memo line of the checks they send to get him to leave them alone. They should aim high to make sure they outbid HyperbaricSnakeOil, Inc.
No one knows the details of civil investigative demands Paxton claims his office sent, or who received them. It is possible that no letters have or will be sent. That way Paxton can shout about the conspiracy of silence around the bribes pediatricians are taking. If he is lucky more parents will refuse to have their children immunized or stop taking their children to the doctor at all. Some children might die and Paxton will be able to get an erection.
The picture for this blog post shows how well this cunning plan is working for general pediatricians.
Actually, since I wasted time trying to decipher this gibberish: I assume the “bribes” from “Big Insurance” are common, long-standing and not-at-all secret quality of care programs that incentivize providers to meet certain patient care benchmarks. Such as making sure children are immunized. So they don’t get sick and possibly die. You can see why perverts with a fetish for dead children object.
By some strange coincidence, Paxton announced his investigation on the same day that RFK Jr.’s League of Death Pimps filed a RICO suit against the American Academy of Pediatrics. People who want lots of dead children hate the AAP because the organization is dedicated to keeping children healthy and alive.
Or, as the weirdo who filed the suit put it:
“Tobacco created false uncertainty to manufacture doubt,” Jaffe wrote on his blog. “AAP did the inverse: false certainty to foreclose questions. Both used the trappings of science to prevent actual science.”
Ye olde The Jury is Out Until I Say Otherwise gambit. Can’t have medical researchers and providers saying anything is true unless some noisy necrophiliacs agree.
