HHS Sec. Kennedy – MMGA

Let’s check on the Robert Failson Kennedy Jr. Memorial Measles Outbreak.
Two South Carolina colleges have confirmed cases of measles on their respective campuses, FOX Carolina reports.
South Carolina is up to 646 cases of measles as of Tuesday.
I think the chart says it all, and you can go here for more a lot more detail, but to throw in a few highlights of the completely avoidable resurgence of measles in the US:
March 3, 2024: The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention reported three weekly cases of measles.
March 2, 2025: The CDC reports 90 cases of measles.
March 4, 2025: Recently confirmed HHS Sec. Kennedy opens the square foot of hard used road on the front of his head to tout some dangerous quackery that a pair of Texas quacks shared with him.
March 11, 2025: Kennedy lies about the risks of the measles/mumps/rubella vaccine. He stops just short of claiming it will make a kid’s head explode.
May 1, 2025: Kennedy tells an agency that he controls to do research that proves he’s right about the non-existent link between autism and vaccines for childhood diseases.
Nov. 21, 2025: Kennedy decides that he’s right because the research didn’t prove that he’s not right to his satisfaction. Instructs the agency to add misinformation about vaccines.
Dec. 30, 2025: Another agency Kennedy controls drops a requirement that states report immunizations for children who are covered by Medicaid (49%). In the same notice, it announces plans to spread lies about vaccination.
I’ll cover his recent decision to reduce the childhood immunization schedule by nearly half, and how people who actually care about public health prepared and responded, in a later post.
