What, and I cannot emphasize this strongly enough, the fuck:
Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted Tuesday over a photo of seashells officials said threatened President Donald Trump, marking the administration’s second attempt to prosecute one of his largest political opponents, [Commenter Gee Suss points correctly to the genuinely insane framing here, in which James Comey is one of Trump’s largest political opponents, as opposed to a private citizen who posted a tweet critical of the Emperor of this idiotic nation] three sources first told CNN.
Trump has long pressed for his political adversaries to face charges, including the former FBI director he sees as a key leader in the perceived effort to “weaponize” justice system against him.
Last May, Comey posted a photo on social media of shells on a beach writing out the numbers “86 47,” which critics said referred to taking out or killing Trump.
Everybody in the DOJ who signs any court filings in this prosecution needs to be disbarred.
Assuming the can opener of an actual Democratic administration in January 2029, the #1 priority needs to be full-scale full-time prosecution of the all the various crimes and frauds of the Trump administration. Any Democratic candidate who gives any hint of hesitation about proceeding accordingly needs to find their campaign deader than disco.
