Bobby Jr. doesn’t want people he’s lied to about vaccines to be confronted by facts

After years of working diligently to spread lies about vaccines, HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. and his ilk have achieved a major milestone in their efforts. The U.S. is having a measles outbreak.
In 2024 the U.S. had a total of 285 confirmed cases. Here’s where the U.S. was as of March 27, 2025. If I did the math right, that’s 24 cases a month in 2024 and 161 a month this year.
Powdered Toast Man Jr. must be so proud of his work. Or at least, I believe that’s a reasonable conclusion based on his last-minute decision to stifle a report on measles.
Leaders at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ordered staff this week not to release their experts’ assessment that found the risk of catching measles is high in areas near outbreaks where vaccination rates are lagging, according to internal records reviewed by ProPublica.
In an aborted plan to roll out the news, the agency would have emphasized the importance of vaccinating people against the highly contagious and potentially deadly disease that has spread to 19 states, the records show.
A CDC spokesperson told ProPublica in a written statement that the agency decided against releasing the assessment “because it does not say anything that the public doesn’t already know.” She added that the CDC continues to recommend vaccines as “the best way to protect against measles.”
Let’s take this fuckery slow motion.
- MMR vaccine rates are down in the U.S. because for years a bunch of bigoted perverts with a fetish for sick children have spread the lie that vaccines cause autism. With the very unsubtle implication that whatever might happen to a unvaccinated child, it couldn’t be worse than autism.
- One of the bigoted perverts (who had his kids vaccinated, you betcha) is now in charge of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, which means he controls the federal agencies that we rely on to do things like prevent measles outbreaks by informing the public.
- He has already used his new authority to spread the claim that there is a treatment for measles that provides an “almost miraculous and instantaneous” cure. But only two physicians in the entire U.S. know about it. And anyone with the sense of pride God gave a c. difficile bacteria instinctively knows the claim sounds fucking ridiculous.
- One of the agencies Junior controls was going to publish a report that essentially states that risk of measles is high in certain areas where svaccination rates are low, and people should get vaccinated.
- But Bobby Jr. doesn’t want the report published. According to a CDC spokesperson: “because it does not say anything that the public doesn’t already know.”
- EXCEPT. A significant percentage of the public “doesn’t already know.” Because fucks like Bobby Jr. have been emptying their raw milk ravaged bowels into the vaccine information pool.
Having worked so hard to make people less informed and more confused, he wants to keep them that way. And his excuse is that they aren’t really uninformed or confused.
When asked about the decision, the new HHS director of communications, who also has a famous last name, got snippy.
Responding to questions about criticism of the decision among some CDC staff, Nixon wrote, “Some individuals at the CDC seem more interested in protecting their own status or agenda rather than aligning with this Administration and the true mission of public health.”
The agenda of those CDC employes is to use their training and intelligence to inform and protect the public. Republicans will never stop making it clear that they hate that sort of thing.
