Rosalynn Carter, RIP

I may be very critical of Jimmy Carter’s presidency, but there’s no question that he had one of the great marriages and political partnerships of all time. People forget just how involved she was with his career; much like Barbara Bush, she sort of feinted toward being the supportive wife in the background but was in fact deeply involved in all of it. Unlike Babs, most people thought Rosaylnn was a nice person. Obviously, Jimmy has set the all time record for being in hospice by now, but when Rosalynn went into it a couple of days ago, it was pretty clear that her time was up. I hope he spends his last days/months/years (probably years) relatively happy even though she is gone.
