LMP RIP

For reasons that are not entirely clear to me I feel like it’s important to observe that Lisa Marie Presley just passed away, suddenly, at the age of 54. She had four children, three of whom remain with us. It is quite a struggle for me to believe that Elvis Presley only ever fathered a single child, but apparently the biological evidence for other candidates is inconclusive. In any case, I very much do appreciate that the strains on a person, like Lisa Marie Presley, Christina Onassis, or Harry Mountbatten-Windsor, who is born to a certain degree of wealth and fame are extraordinary and difficult and genuinely inexplicable to what we might regard as “normal” human beings.
