Apparently the south of Ukraine (or the Kherson area?) is known as watermelon county. There’s activity there today.

This is an iconic image for the liberation of Kherson. A watermelon is the unofficial symbol of the region, which is famous for growing watermelons and shipping them to all of Ukraine.

In the northern part of Watermelon county, the AFU are making progress attacking from the north around Zolota Balka. Most of this progress is still unconfirmed, but reports are coming from both sides. This is all unconfirmed, but there are enough reports coming through that it’s clear something is happening. That last map looks like another pincer movement like the one that took Lyman, and the shift in activity from north to south is the inverse of the way the Ukrainians moved the Kharkiv front. You might think the Russians would learn.
