You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows

Nobody knows how it will play if Trump and Barr refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the election, because we haven’t been there (here) before.

. . . and I’m getting really tired of the “he could never get away with that” takes. First he could never win the Republican primary. Then he could never win the general. Then he could never get away with ignoring almost all legal and institutional constraints, and running the government like his own personal racket. It could never happen here, right?
