Elliott Broidy, Shera Bechard, Donald Trump, and the media
I did a podcast on Mediaite yesterday on the Broidy-Bechard-Trump scandal. In it, I add some further details to the story I laid out in a couple of NYM pieces last month. Among these are:
(1) Bechard told one friend in late October of 2017 that she was pregnant.
(2) She told another friend that she was due on June 22nd, i.e. this past weekend.
(3) Bechard was in the New York area on the weekend of September 22-23, which, if she used a nine-month back of the envelope calculation to estimate her due date, would be quite interesting, given that Donald Trump was at his golf club in the NYC vicinity (in Bedminster NJ to be precise) that weekend as well. Trump was back at the same club the following weekend, which is when online pregnancy calculators would place a conception date for a due date of June 22nd. I don’t know if Bechard was in the NYC area that weekend.
(4) I have been unable to confirm Elliott Broidy’s whereabouts on the two weekends in question.
(5) It may be of some significance that Hugh Hefner died on the Thursday between those two weekends (Bechard was Hefner’s girlfriend at one time, and Trump and Hefner were “good” friends, before they had a falling-out for unknown reasons. Trump has been quoted to the effect that sleeping with the wives of one’s friends is one of life’s great pleasures).
(6) If anyone in the media is pursuing this story further, I’m not aware of it.
