Shorter Chuck Lane: “Can you believe that Barack Obama is actually lending support to his political allies — how ghastly.   Gabrielle Giffords must be rolling over in her grave.   Real liberals like Joe Klein fully support Republican reactionaries who attack organized labor so they can distribute tax cuts and subsidies to their business allies.”

…I should explain the too-subtle too-obscure reference: Lane’s attempt to speak his pre-existing political views through a living martyr reminded me of this line from the Randy Newman classic “The World Isn’t Fair“: “If Marx were living today/He’d be rolling around in his grave.”

…and as Roger points out, Lane’s evidence that “union-backed” demonstrators, as a class, equate Walker with Hitler and Murbarak is based on a grand total of two photos of Some Guy With A Sign. Besides, according to the current tea party line, isn’t comparison with Mubarak a compliment?
