Post-Victory Shooting

I should probably note the shooting at the victory celebration of Pauline Marois, who will be Quebec’s first female premier (excellent), will replace Jean Charest (overdue) and seems part of the hardcore ethnic nationalist part of the PQ that wants to hold another referendum on secession “sovereignty-association” and expand Bill 101 (boo.) Of course, given the extreme current unpopularity of secession, it’s hard to imagine a minority government trying to call a referendum, so the latter shouldn’t be an immediate issue.
