Rogan’s army is on their way

This will definitely not be the last time something like this happens:
A gunman who believed the coronavirus vaccine was to blame for his ailments opened fire on Friday outside of the headquarters of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, killing a police officer and striking the exteriors of several buildings on the C.D.C. campus, law enforcement officials said.
The gunman was found fatally shot, but no civilians were hit by gunfire, officials said.
Officials reported an active shooter just before 5 p.m. at a CVS drugstore on Clifton Road, which is directly across from the main entrance to the C.D.C. headquarters. Officers found the gunman on the second floor of the CVS, but it was unclear if he had been struck in an exchange of gunfire with the police or if the gunshot was self-inflicted, Chief Darin Schierbaum of the Atlanta Police Department said at a news conference on Friday evening.
There’s nothing cute or amusing about the conspiracism that is increasingly dominating the Republican Party and its social media influencers. It’s no a coincidence that Birtherism was Donald Trump’s entree into Republican politics, and it got way too much bothsides coverage contemporaneously.
Incidentally, I agree with this:
I am going to be a massive humorless asshole about woo-woo shit, no matter how seemingly harmless, for the rest of my life due to this. astrology, homeopathic medicine, etc etc it's all bullshit and it's not fucking harmless. there are people who will die due to this who would have otherwise lived.

yeah today it's a reactionary thing mostly, but for a long fuckin' time until *very* recently there was way too much tolerance for this shit in left and liberal spaces. from "oh it's not harming anyone" to "different ways of knowing". RFK jr fucking came from that milieu.— William B. Fuckley (@opinionhaver.bsky.social) Aug 5, 2025 at 5:44 PM
One obvious example was the dirtbag left not-even-ironically embracing Marianne Williamson because she was “anti-establishment.” Yeah, and so is the current head of Health and Human Services — we don’t need this shit anywhere on the broader left.
