Fridgescape from LA
What is fridgescaping? It is–in short–decorating the inside of your refrigerator. And while I’m fairly certain it’s a “trend” that exists exclusively on social media for any reason spanning a desire to create envy to a desire to make people feel as if they’re dissociating, for the purposes of this post I’m going to pretend it’s a real thing real people do.

It seems like social media influencers are always trying to find the latest, greatest way to and make places like kitchens and pantries more organized and aesthetically pleasing. Usually they accomplish this by putting everything in its own discrete plastic/woven/glass storage bin/jar/container and then labeling it.
I recently did this to my pantry because it was such a mess. I was buying things I didn’t need and simply could not find other things. A little effort up front, plus a little continuing effort in keeping up with the decanting has actually made cooking and finding snacks a lot easier and more pleasant.
Let’s be frank, however, fridgescaping is something that should land you on a watch list. First of all, it’s *weird,* secondly it’s something even someone with Patrick Bateman-like focus would fail to maintain.
It’s not that putting a couple of see-through partitions and bins in your refrigerator is bad. In fact, I recommend them for some snacks and drinks. But putting art and flowers in your freaking fridge is nothing less than psycho.
Now, some of you may think this post is waste of time. Some of you may think I only wrote it so that I could stage photo of Godzilla holding a lemon in my fridge. And you would be correct.
