Hegseth gone?

Per NPR, the White House has begun the search for a new Defense Secretary:

Donald Trump gave the most important job in the cabinet to a raging alcoholic who promised to quit drinking as soon as he was given this job, but not before.

There is no known frame for analyzing decisions like this in the history of the American presidency, because they are fucked up beyond all recognition ON THEIR FACE.

We are in uncharted waters here, and the way they have covered the situation indicates the extent to which so much of the prestige media are still in total denial about that.
