LGM Film Club, Part 113: Carter’s Inaugural Address

Jimmy Carter is a good man, but he was a pretty bad president. Don’t let nostalgia or his amazing post-presidency get in the way of his poor performance all around. A good man and a (likely) mediocre president? Huh, I wonder why I figured this was a good day to highlight Carter’s Inaugural Address. It’s actually pretty boring, but the language of sheer decency, at least between the Cold War rhetoric and all the cliches about liberty and freedom, is something that’s been awfully missing from American life for the last four years.
