I am appalled by this rank McCarthyism:

He also slammed Trump for not acknowledging Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
“How can this President not talk about the reality that Russia interfered in this election,” he said, adding, “And, according to his CIA director, will likely interfere in the 2018 midterms we will be holding … Unless you have a very special relationship with Mr. Putin.”

Not only does this demagogue fail to perceive the clear threat that Trump presents to the interests of America’s elites, he is invoking the fictional conspiracy theory that Russia intervened in the 2016 election in order to DISTRACT from the only variable that affected the outcome of the election, Hillary Clinton’s perfidious neoliberalism. Why, I might have to go on Tucker Carlson’s Home of Smarm and White Nationalism to discuss this new Red Scare. What other Mccarthyite rhetoric might this person outrageously engage in?

Last year, Sanders delivered a similar speech after Trump’s joint address to Congress, urging his supporters to “continue the fight” against Trump’s administration.

Awful. Let’s be frank, fighting against Trump is supporting the neoliberal order and nuclear war with Moscow. Of course, I support a full investigation…into why Andrew McCabe didn’t accelerate his investigation into redundant and immaterial emails so his supervisor could violate rules and norms to make prejudicial statements based on them earlier.

We need a name for the hilariously disingenuous rhetorical move that involves claiming that if a Democratic public official discusses Russian intervention into the election they are therefore discussing absolutely nothing but Russia.
