Good for Bob Costas
By I normally don’t weigh in sports stuff because a.) I find sports incredibly boring and b.) I don’t watch them. But the controversy over the Redskins’ name caught my attention. I applaud Bob Costas for saying what he said. And it’s not the first time he’s made sense.
Apparently many polls show most Americans don’t have a problem with the name. That’s fine. Lots of people are wrong about lots of things. There comes a time when Sane America must do the sane thing and force Moron America–kicking and screaming if it comes to that– to do the right thing.
