The title of this post refers to this old entry at this blog of ill-repute. But enough about that…what will Mr. Lemieux and all the other baseball geeks of LGM think of this show of athleticism?

My son is trying to learn how to play baseball. I fear his form may need work.

scaredball — Player appears apprehensive. Perhaps he senses something is "off" with the ball.

smileball — Ah. Clearly, he's warmed up to the process. Perhaps it's the fact that he's now inexplicably playing with a basketball.

eyecloseball — The Zen "eyes closed" method. Nice.

baseketball — Overkill! Suddenly the umps feel uneasy.

Something's gone terribly wrong. I've never even heard of "dogball."

broomball — Folks, you're witnessing the de-evolution of baseball. This. Is. Broomrock.

dancehandball — I'm going to call this "Voodoo Ball." I can only assume that if he continues to dance around the ball--HOLDING THE ROCK--surely the ball will do the right thing.
