Lies the President Told Me. . .

It’s not news to most of here that our President is a pathological liar. However, it’s important to call him, again and again and again, on thisĀ particular lie.

….”If you’re 20 years old, in your mid-20s, and you’re beginning to work, I want you to think about a Social Security system that will be flat bust, bankrupt, unless the United States Congress has got the willingness to act now,” Bush said.

Know it, repeat it, post about it on your own blog. The President’s statement is incompatible with any projection of the future of Social Security, including that of the Republican Party. He is lying to people in order to create a political context in which Social Security can be killed. He is attempting to create a crisis where none exists. Repeat it to your red state friends and relatives who believe that George Bush is an honest man. He’s not.

I’m beginning to think that they may have overstepped on this one.
