Via Brad Delong, Daniel Benjamin makes a good case that the failure to kill Zarqawi before the invasion is the single most indefensible decision made by this administration. This doesn’t mean that it’s the worst or the most destructive, but rather that there is no way of constructing a rational defense of the Bush administration’s decision on this question. Simply put, the administration placed its political goals before the killing of terrorists. Lots of Americans and Iraqis have died as a result.

Impeachable? Who cares, and I hear that a blowjob needs to be involved to get impeachment proceedings going, anyway. There is, of course, a better way to remove inept and mendacious Presidents. .
