Reading Material
By I am pleased to note that the fine folks at W.W. Norton sent me a copy of the 9/11 commission report, unsolicited but welcomed. In addition, Phillip Roth’s new novel The Plot Against America–which I’ve been looking forward to for months–was in stock at the local bookstore. (Read his fascinating account of the novel’s genesis here.) And I also picked up the new Vanity Fair, which apparently has an article indicating that Kennedy initially voted correctly in Bush v. Gore but was turned by various factors. More commentary about some or all is forthcoming…
