Attack Helicopters and Conservative Comedy
In case you weren’t aware there’s a joke that conservatives like to make about gender identity wherein they say they identify as an attack helicopter. At first I thought it was just a profoundly unfunny, insensitive joke, but I think that’s because I didn’t get that in that telling it they’re kinda telling on themselves. Because they literally helicopter around looking for things to be offended by and their offense manifests itself as attacks on marginalized people. That’s kinda funny, I guess.
I can tell from the poster that A Wrinkle In Time is extremely problematic. No transgender representation. No Inuit representation. They've basically erased gay polyamorous Koreans from existence. Plus I only see people, which is specist.

Neatly encapsulated in the above tweet is the answer to why there is no such thing as a genuinely funny conservative person/show/film: it’s clumsy, ham-handed, corny, smarmy in its approach to the joke, and it punches down, which for normal people is inherently unfunny.
