As I talk a lot about the ethics of documenting and viewing gruesome images, the producers at Al Jazeera’s The Stream naturally thought of me for their show on images of Syria. Because I kept bugging them to do it.

I make a quick appearance around minute 1:40. Looking back at the show, I’m actually not that pleased with what the main panel brought up. They’re all absolutely experts on Syria in the media, but I was disappointed no one could put this into a historical perspective or compare it to other crises.

Someone will just have to put me on TV again or on their podcast to talk about that.

Was that too subtle?

Now updated with an actual screenshot of my in the video since some people weren’t too thrilled by the still photo of the injured children.
