Former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin has found himself in a spot:

Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin was arrested Thursday in Paris by the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office, according to two dispatchers at the Paris-Bourbon County 911.

Bevin was reportedly arrested while playing an extra on the set of a Christian film production there.

The former governor had an active bench warrant against him in Jefferson County, where a judge found him in contempt of court for not turning over required financial documents to the court in his divorce and child support case.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately return a request for comment.

Bevin was booked into the Louisville Metro Detention Center on Thursday evening, where he was charged with resistance to a court order.

The reporter here is Friend of the Blog Joe Sonka, who won a Pulitzer at the Courier-Journal for covering Matt Bevin’s end-of-term pardons. Anyway, these look to be state charges so Bevin can’t count on any help from the Old Man; he also so toxic even within the Kentucky GOP at the moment that he’s really on his own. Here’s a good summary of the legal situation; why he decided to show his face in Kentucky when he knew he was in legal jeopardy is beyond me.
