Repost: Remove Trump Now

I posted and removed this yesterday because of the pissing and moaning in the comments. I have closed comments because there is already more than enough pissing and moaning this morning.
I listened to most of the Supreme Leader’s press conference this morning. After a particularly long recitation of his wonderfulness by him, NBC and I gave up. Overall, it was frightening. Trump clearly is operating from something in his head that touches reality at a few points, probably reiterated and drilled into that head by subordinates even more fearful than me. Those few points are not enough.
The subordinates were careful to give him enormous amounts of credit for wisdom, bravery, and confidence. General Dan Caine’s briefing came closest to what one might expect in such a performance, but he was required to pay tribute too. The bravery of the airmen rescued received some credit. Pete Hegseth worked through in detail that the Weapons Systems Officer was shot down on Good Friday, hid among the rocks on Saturday, and was rescued on Easter Sunday.
Trump said that he was in contact with ordinary Iranians, who were begging him to keep bombing. He also spoke about the women’s protests in Iran and that “four or five snipers” shot women, “right between the eyes.” He included further details and at one point repeated his words in rapid succession, as demential sufferers do. Once more, the grisly details seemed to appeal to him.
I’ve watched a few clips on Bluesky (which had various degrees of down this morning), and they don’t begin to show the extent to which Trump is stuck in his own head. Things are so bad that even those clips are a form of sanewashing.
We are already looking at enormous damage to the world economy from the closures and damage already done in the Gulf region. Every day it gets worse.
We must get Donald Trump out of office. Lean on your members of Congress, Democrat and Republican, to remove him. It is the world’s priority now.
