Purchase of son in law proves to be excellent investment

A friend is puzzled by how little attention is being given to Smooth-faced Jared’s role in recent developments:
Having scoured the earth to find the best money manager, the Saudis found Jared Kushner. Gave him billions to “manage” and draw large fees from. He said he won’t take part in Trump 2, will just manage money now. Despite this, he was called in anyway to Trump 2 to do all these negotiations. Saudi Arabia hates Iran, its main regional enemy, and would love to see the leadership erased. Kush (and Witkoff) handle the negotiations with Iran. Kush informs Trump this week that, damn the luck, Iran just won’t do what we want. Guess we’ll have to attack.
You can argue the nuances but come on, that’s a pretty fair recap of the main events. Like the attack, don’t like it, whatever; how does anyone believe that Kushner’s SA interests aren’t a conflict with US interests? What am I missing?
I’m going to go with “the complete corruption of contemporary politics in America, under the influence of a demented narcissistic moron and those taking advantage of this situation.”
