The varieties of racist experience

Yesterday I predicted that the White House story about Donald Trump’s wildly racist middle of the night post, in which he reproduced a video of the Obamas transformed into apes, would go through the following stages:
(1) So what, don’t you have a sense of humor; also Robert Byrd was in the KKK.
(2) Trump didn’t post it.
(3) Trump would then turn around and confirm that he did post it, and would refuse to apologize.
This cycle has now been completed, and needless to say I should get the same amount of credit for this foresight as for predicting an eastern sunrise.
It turns out that the real villain in MAGA land is now Tim Scott, for pointing out that Trump was “apparently” being super racist.
I just want to re-emphasize something Shakezula said about all this initially, which is that this entire incident has provided exactly zero new information about Donald Trump, who has been a massively racist piece of shit for his entire miserable public career. So it’s interesting that these regular confirmations of that occasionally produce some sort of “scandal,” given that the scandal remains what it is every single day, which is that this man has been elected president twice.
