Welcome to the world of the true believer

I regret to inform you that entirely predictable events are irritating some CEOs.
According to reporting from Bloomberg at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference that ended today in San Francisco, pharmaceutical executives who had previously been careful to avoid criticizing the Trump administration appear to have reached a breaking point, with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla offering some of the most candid comments.
“I am very annoyed. I’m very disappointed. I’m seriously frustrated,” Bourla said. “What is happening has zero scientific merit and is just serving an agenda which is political, and then antivax.”
Bourla might have been referring to the fact that under the guidance of a hyper-privileged creep who has no experience in health care, the HHS has become openly hostile to immunizations. And acetaminophen.
For example, last week’s decision to cut the number of recommended childhood immunizations from 18 to 11, complete with easily debunked lies about why. But he might also have been referring to the hyper-privileged creep’s boss’ recent demands that pharmaceutical companies prove that COVID-19 vaccines work. Or maybe even the revival and surge of lawsuits against any corporation that some crank points at and shrieks “Autism!” (And “ADHD” and who knows what else.)
Whatever the reason, disappointment only makes sense if he hadn’t caught on to the fact that an arrogant, ignorant POS who has been peddling anti-vaccine propaganda for years isn’t just doing some weird bit. He truly believes he is right, and therefore will continue to be a nuisance.
Please stay on topic in the comments.
