NFL Open Thread: Wildcard Monday

As I discussed on the playoff podcast, the Texans (-3) is probably the pick against the spread I was most confident in. You have to respect the Steelers and their consistency, but this seems like just a terrible matchup for them. In Week 18 Rodgers showed that he complete passes to open receivers against a team with no pass rush missing its only good defensive back, all of which is moot against a team with a ferocious pass rush and deep secondary. It’s obviously possible that Pittsburgh pulls out a 13-10 slop fight or something given the dubious Texans offensive line, but my guess is that they win comfortably. Since this would mean me going 6-0 against the spread this weekend, you probably want to bet the other way.
