When I’ve visited DC and driven in with a friend, we’ve usually passed the beautiful United States Institute of Peace building on Constitution Avenue. It’s pleased me in other ways, too, to have a government-related organization devoted explicitly to peace.
That came to an end with the Musk rampage through government. His boys seized the building, with the help of security guards, even though USIP is not a government organization. They pulled the letters off the wall and left shit and pot on the floors.
Now there is more shit.
Gilt (probably fake) letters have been affixed to the outside: Donald J. Trump.
Apparently leaders from Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo are scheduled to sign a peace deal there tomorrow, under the aegis of that famous peacemaker.
I volunteer to be among those smudging the building with sage smoke to purify it when we remove these disgusting people from DC.
