Nancy Mace is one piece of work. Her 3 minutes of claiming some sort of moderation when she was first elected to Congress has been replaced by unrepentant careerism that has made her one of the worst Trumpers out there. She’s also just an awful person and this has really come to light given what happened when she went into the Charleston airport and wasn’t treated like the queen she believes herself to be.

Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s profanity-laced tirade inside Charleston International Airport is facing forceful blowback from South Carolina’s two U.S. Republican senators and a growing list of others who say her conduct was unbecoming and disrespectful to police.

Mace, a Charleston Republican who is also a GOP candidate for governor, is threatening to sue multiple parties tied to the airport for defamation, including its administration, police officials and a gate agent with American Airlines.

“We believe Congresswoman Nancy Mace has been subjected to a calculated and coordinated effort to malign her character through deliberately falsified documentation,” said her attorney Larry Klayman, a nationally known conservative lawyer.

“No American, let alone a sitting member of Congress, should be subjected to institutional misconduct and defamation of this nature,” he said.

In statements released a short while apart on Nov. 4, U.S. Sens. Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham both called Mace’s behavior last week in which she cursed at police out of bounds.

“It is never acceptable to berate police officers, airport staff, and TSA agents who are simply doing their jobs, nor is it becoming of a Member of Congress to use such vulgar language when dealing with constituents,” Scott wrote.

“Not only are these officers sworn to protect us, but we also take an oath to represent them,” he continued. “We work for them, not vice versa.”

Scott’s comments came after Mace allegedly told airport police during their confrontation Oct. 30 that Scott would not be treated the way she was after a scheduled security escort did not meet her curbside at the airport and was then temporarily held-up as she tried to pass through a TSA screening area often used by airline flight crews.

Graham said he agreed with Scott’s statement, leaving Mace publicly reprimanded by both of South Carolina’s sitting GOP senators as she runs for statewide office in a deep red state.

That was soon followed by a bipartisan group of over 60 elected officials, including state lawmakers, sheriffs, mayors, and city and county leaders from the Charleston tri-county area — Mace’s political home base — who issued a public letter Nov. 5 defending the airport and its staff.

The letter, which had 62 signees by the afternoon, said the airport is “more than a travel hub, it is a vital economic engine that strengthens tourism, supports small businesses, sustains thousands of local jobs, and connects our community to the world.”

“Its efficient operations and welcoming atmosphere are central to the Lowcountry’s identity and growth,” it read.

All of the state senators in Charleston County’s legislative delegation signed onto it, along with 11 out of Charleston County’s 13 state House members.

Do you know how terrible you to be to be repudiated by the entire political establishment of South Carolina? Well, one can see why:

Meanwhile on Nov. 5, Mace released a statement saying she was preparing to sue the airport, its chief executive, three of its police officers and even a Republican rival in the governor’s race, Attorney General Alan Wilson, among others.

In it, Mace claims assertions in the incident report from Charleston airport police was fabricated. She further said the acts of those around her that day constitutes a violation of her civil rights, was defamatory and is a “tortious interference in her campaign for governor.”

The controversy stems from an Oct. 30 incident in which Mace berated and hurled insults at Charleston airport police after a pre-arranged security escort failed to materialize as Mace had requested. Three written accounts from airport police in the aftermath of the dispute contend Mace had loudly called officers “(expletive) incompetent” and quoted her as saying “this is no way to treat a (expletive) U.S. Representative.”

The incident adds to a growing list of public flare-ups for Mace, a third-term GOP lawmaker whose combative streak has become a defining part of her political brand.

After Scott and Graham admonished Mace, she hit back on social media, and accused them of “’punching down, shaming and attacking a woman with thousands of death threats.”

Mace’s special skill is using feminist language to support her own rise in the fascist regime. She’s a real wonderful person. Sad to see…..
