The Autobiography of Donald Trump
One of my favorite films about late 20th century politics is 2010’s The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu, which just follows the oft-filmed Romanian dictator using the footage. One of my favorite parts is when Ceausescu visits North Korea and comes back with a deep longing for the type of military parades Kim Il-Sung had. You know who else loves the North Korean style? Donald Trump. And thus, hanging over the Department of Labor building:

That Trump is doing this while also stripping collective bargaining rights from federal employees, eviscerating the Department of Labor, supporting cases that overturn the National Labor Relations Act, ending wind energy projects that employ thousands of union workers, and rolling back regulations from the Biden era to keep workers safe makes this even more special.
But hey, who’s going to stop him?
