Why doesn’t Newsom pursue a viable strategy, like getting a Republican House and Senate to pass federal anti-gerrymandering legislation. Which they are especially likely to do after you have declared preemptively that you will never respond to even the most egregious GOP gerrymanders. Oh, and the president whose demand for these midterm gerrymanders set them in motion would definitely sign this bill because once you’ve assumed 10 unicorns carrying magic can openers what’s the eleventh?”
At this point, Turner is the left’s answer to Mark Penn — hiring her for your campaign in any capacity is dispositive evidence that you’re not serious about winning. And the thing is, no other argument against Newsom’s proposal makes any more sense, even if most people aren’t dumb enough to be this explicit about what they propose as an alternative.
