This 1932 travel film about Argentina is honestly terrible. Now, you might ask, well what do you expect? It’s a 1932 MGM travel film about Argentina. And that’s fair enough. But my god, the narration. See, the killer thing about this film is the aggressive attempt to not say any word even remotely like you’d say it in Spanish. And then to go ahead and note the “Eyetalian” heritage of a lot of the people and say it exactly that way. Even leaving behind all the standard tropes about traveling at this time and the stereotypes of Argentina that are rife through this, the narration makes this completely unwatchable and thus a perfect choice for this series.
