My interest in the world of professional wrestling has always been purely meta, but no less sincere for that. (Can someone be a meta-smark?)

In all seriousness, I think the sort of “scripted reality” that the genre developed well before the whole world was Kardashian/Trumpified is one of the most significant developments of our time.
