I think I remember when Bill Ackman wasn’t crazy, but that was a long time ago now.
The first time I ever heard of this guy was way back in the day when there was a 60 Minutes or maybe NOVA episode about the HerbalLife MLM scam, which Ackman had been furiously shorting, since of course a pyramid scheme must collapse at some point.
What Ackman forgot is that markets can stay irrational for longer than even plutocrats can stay liquid sometimes, which is to say that world is crazier and more of it than we think.
Someday this war is gonna end, and there will be a book to be written about the people driven literally crazy by Trump and Trumpism. It will be a long one too.
