My husband and I have two cats, Victoria and Lola. We adopted them ten years ago, in Tenleytown. They were in a cage, a bonded pair. They were maybe six months? What Dickensian-tale will we never know about how two total un-lookalike strays became sisters and best friends? Was Lola the muscle, Victoria the brains? Or, pathetically, vice-verse? With all we had going on in our lives, did we even have room for pets? In our apartment? In our hearts? Either way, they are the only important thing in our life. The only thing that matters.
