Hochul isn’t going to remove Adams

Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York plans to announce on Thursday that she will not exercise her authority to remove Mayor Eric Adams from office at this time, but will seek to impose strict new guardrails on his administration of New York City, according to two officials familiar with her thinking.
Adams is being extorted by Donald Trump’s DOJ, and right out in the open. I can’t imagine a more compelling case for using the governor’s legal power to remove a mayor from office.
Protip to institutionalist Dems: The guardrails are now like the third planet in the Star Trek episode.
