A lot is happening right now…
- Good timeline on what we know now about the Israel strikes.
- Israelis have hit targets associated with the regime, with the air defense network, and with the nuclear enterprise.
- The attacks were coordinated with drones smuggled into Iran, similar in concept at least to the Ukrainian attacks on Russian airfields.
- Trump is effectively taking credit for the strikes.
- Iranian air defenses not up to snuff.
- Not much yet in terms of an Iranian response, although a wave of drones has been launched. Regime may be hedging or communications may simply be a disaster right now.
The Israelis say 14 more days of this, with the next waves of attacks concentrating on Iran’s air defense network and its nuclear program. Trump says that he wants the Iranians to come back to the table but that seems… unlikely at the moment.
