A 53-47 GOP senate

It looks increasingly probable that Bob Casey has lost his Senate race in Pennsylvania, which means the GOP is likely looking at a 53-47 majority. This is extremely bad, because it removes Collins and Murkowski as potential ameliorating influences/votes. Not that the two of them would have done a whole lot to hold back the MAGA cattle car, but they might, for example, been not OK with Robert Kennedy Jr. heading HHS, or waiving the filibuster to pass a national abortion ban.

It’s now all the more critical that the Democrats somehow take back the House, but the odds of that aren’t looking great at the moment.

On the plus side . . . I’ve got nothing, sorry.
