Maggie Smith, RIP

I have to admit that I am not into what I call “that British shit,” by which I mean TV shows and movies about rich English of the past that so appeal to American white liberals for some reason. I mean, didn’t we have a revolution so I didn’t have to watch Downton Abbey? But there’s no questioning the point that Maggie Smith was an amazing actress who could do all sorts of different work and did it incredibly well. I never saw anything with her in it without realizing no one was going to play the role better.
Also, given that every episode of Downton Abbey jumped ahead like 6 months, wasn’t Maggie Smith’s character approximately 132 years old by the end of the show?
