Everybody in the press who spent two years trying to turn Peter Thiel’s fake-Appalachian messenger boy into some kind of guru of Reasonable Conservatism should contemplate how they got suckered so badly by such a transparent con:

This would be bad coming from anyone, but from a guy who’s spent much of a year cowering and scarpering and fawning to try to get on the ticket of the guy who incited 1/6…truly one of the most loathsome figures in American public life.
