The Twitter Blues

Let’s see how Elon Musk’s brilliant business strategery of trying to get people to pay him $8 a month to show that they’re in the same club as Ian Miles Cheong and Alex Berenson is going:
Of the 420,000 legacy verified blue checks, about 320 signed up for Twitter Blue and around 290 got rid of Twitter Blue as of about noon today, @travisbrown told me today.https://t.co/rGfgXXVjtR— Ben Collins (@oneunderscore__) April 21, 2023
Pretty impressive, particularly even measured up against the billion dollar annual interest payment Elon has shackled the company with!
That’s over $2500 in revenue per year. I guess you don’t understand how business works— Rodger Sherman (@rodger) April 21, 2023
Why don’t any of these journalists want a “I’m with the anti-vaxxers and Nazis” badge? Very hard to explain!
To be Scrupulously Fair, while we can safely write off the “entire status depends” and “caste” claims, strictly speaking we have not falsified the “Veblen Good” claim because Elon immediately slashed the price. Elom should test this out by offering that 12K/year tier — I can’t see what could possibly go wrong.
