That Pink Floyd Reunion Tour I’ve been counting on may just not be in the cards.
It won’t surprise anyone that my sympathies are entirely with Gilmour. Even as someone who loves his music (and I can tolerate even the solo stuff to a point), I’m not sure I can think of a classic rocker I’d less rather engage with on a personal and political level than Roger Waters; listening to his very best work leaves one with the impression that he must be a colossal fucking asshole in real life, and that barely even touches upon the politics. In any case, let this serve as an open thread for discussing the self-immolation of titanic 1970s rock and roll groups.
