The end of an error

In 99 cases out of 100, layoffs of journalists are nothing to celebrate. This is the 1:

CNN’s mass layoffs have claimed one cornerstone of its Washington coverage: Political analyst CHRIS CILLIZZA is among those who have been laid off from the network this week. People familiar with the decision confirmed the move, first reported by Variety, with Eugene and Chris Cadelago.

I’ve always wondered if Cillizza’s “he’s a story about some trivia Republicans are pushing that shows that Republicans are Savvy and Democrats are in Disarray” shtick was even successful as clickbait — Republicans like their red meat cooked closer to shoe leather and most Democrats would have little interest in this stuff even if it was done well. I guess we have our answer.

I must grant that he was true to his own self right until the end:

The man did not miss! Let us remember some other bangers:

He will spend his time off clutching a picture of Hillary Clinton in the fetal position, praying she will announce she is running for the Forward Party nomination any day now.
