This doesn’t even rise to the level of “moving the goalposts.” Putin was not going to war until he went to war, at which point he had absolutely no choice, even though he made it abundantly clear he is not invading Ukraine because of NATO expansion at all.
Anyway, I would suggest turning to people who oppose both the US AND Russia going to war over Ukraine, as opposed for apologists for fascism at home and abroad like Josh Hawley and Tucker Carlson.
