It’s now September 1 in the state of Texas. Its law banning abortions after 6 weeks, to be enforced with a grimly authoritarian GDR-like private lawsuit system, is now in effect, despite the fact that it is a black-letter violation of the currently controlling Supreme Court precedents:
It is now after midnight central time and there has been no ruling from the Supreme Court on the Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. The Trump Court is not only hostile to most fundamental rights but are also incredible chickenshits.
