How to Pronounce Oregon

Dear People East of the Mississippi River,

There are actual ways that one is supposed to pronounce western states. Nevada and Colorado have a long “a,” not a short one.

Far more enraging than that is the ridiculous ways that people in the east try to pronounce Oregon, as if it were a word in Hungarian or Igbo or Thai or something. It’s not that hard. Luckily, there’s an entire Wikihow page on how to do this correctly. Please study and learn.
